Training & Assessment Description
This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to secure cargo, in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements, as part of work activities within industry.
It includes preparing to secure cargo/containers, lashing and unlashing cargo, protecting cargo from weather and packing and unpacking cargo.
Work is performed under some supervision, generally within a team environment.
Outcome
On successful completion of being deemed competent you will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) and a plastic industry wallet card issued by QTLT RTO 40931.
Eligibility & Course Information
Prerequisites
LLN a short literacy and numeracy test will be required.
What to bring
All participants are required to wear full PPE to their course
- 1 Photo ID: e.g. Driver’s Licence, Passport (current or expired no more than 2 years), other Australian Government issued ID card with photo.
- Clothing: Long sleeve shirt, long pants and safety boots.
